The US government's violence towards protesters deserves global condemnation. As my MP I am asking you to stand with the Black Lives Matter movement and against the actions of Donald Trump.

The UK currently sells teargas, riot shields and other anti-protest equipment to the US. At minimum, our government must urgently stop sales of anything that could be used against protesters, as well as journalists and others who have been targeted.

These arms are subject to export controls that say they must not be sold if there is a risk they will be used for internal repression or human rights violations. For this reason the export licenses should be revoked.

This issue is already being raised in parliament and I hope you will support moves to cease these exports.
